Bill explains that he names his trees after
the names of the people in whose yard or
pasture he finds them growing.
|

A guest in the audience describes how he has
purchased eight trees from Bill, and the
avocado fruit is so thin-skinned and tender
that it can be eaten unpeeled.
|

He says that Bill's trees are cold hardy and
without serious problems. Their only problem is
that they are hard to find. |

SAHS member and herbalist Alpha
Martinez-Suarez demonstrates the use of Mexican
avocado leaves in tea
|

Monica Hubbard helps pour and serve the tea to
waiting members and guests.
|

Membership Chair Carol Hamling has made a
delicious chicken dish flavored wit the leaves
to serve to the audience.
|

Thanks to Carol, everyone got to try this
gourmet treat.
|

It was the end to a very successful and
informative meeting.
|
Special thanks to Bill Schneider
